Review: Benefit Gimme Brow

Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel
$22 0.1 oz.
Brow Wow!!!

I read about Benefit's latest brow product in September's InStyle. It was tested and reviewed by their beauty editorial staff, who swooned over Gimme Brow's ability to create lush full brows.

Added bonus??? The gel fibers fill in sparse spots and adhere to the brow...

Think magic.

Naturally, I had to check this out for myself, STAT.

I usually purchase Benefit at Sephora,  but a little over a year ago, they opened one of their cheery free standing stores within stomping range of my stomping ground at work in Greenwich.  It's a full service cosmetics store offering waxing, tweezing and spray tans.

The staff is adorable and friendly.  I was created by Coco, the Assistant Store Manager, who was already a fan of Gimme Brow.  The tube is tiny, but she promised me an application requires little product, and would last. I sure hope so...

She nicely supplied a fresh brush and gave me the option to self apply or have her try it out on me.  I preferred to try my own hand and while Coco held up a hand mirror for me.

Voila! Soooo much more brow than my MAC pencil could provide and less messy and more natural looking than my Anastasia brow gel.  Love at first swipe.

Coco explained it is made with Marshmallow extract (I assume that accounts for the adhering power) and infused with vitamins to help nourish the brows.  Say no more...I loved how my brows looked.  Ring me up a Medium/ Deep please.

Gimme Brow comes in only two shades, Light/ Medium and Medium/ Deep.  I'm not sure whether two shades will cover all of womankind, but it is definitely worth seeing if your brows are compatible.

Here is a bit more info. from Benefit's website about Gimme Brow:

I will always have a soft spot for Benefit's Brow Bar and products.  My first introduction to proper grooming and maintenance came from my Brow Specialist Danielle Sampieri, who taught me the importance of taking the time to frame your eyes, by doing your brows every day.  We originally met at Benefit's Brow Bar at Bloomingdales, where Danielle intoned these sage words, " chickens get plucked, people get tweezed".  I can't believe its been 4 years already, http://divadebbi.blogspot.com/2009/10/just-brow-zing.html

Danielle now has her own brow bar at Salon Savior in White Plains. I am so proud that she was recently selected the best Brow Stylist in Westchester County by Westchester Magazine this past June.  When it comes to brows, Danielle is a perfectionist.  If you are lucky enough to live in the area, I highly recommend that you consult with her. (Tell her that you learned about her from my blog and she will extend the a courtesy "DivaDebbi Discount" off your first grooming.

Thanks Coco and Danielle!  Here's to the Girls who help the rest of us look our best...

xox,
DD
